§ 72.40. CITY PARKING LOTS.

  • The following city parking lots acquired and maintained by the city for the parking of vehicles shall, for the purpose of this ordinance, be defined and described as follows:
    (A) Lot Number One (Commonly known as Harvest Market Parking Lot). The parking lot situated on Lots Numbered 107, 108, and 109 in Block 20 in Wingfield's Reserve of the Original Plat of the Town, now City of Greenfield, and is bounded on the east by Mount Street, on the north by South Street, on the west by Pennsylvania Street, and on the south by an existing alley.
    (B) Lot Number Two (Commonly known as Christian Church Parking Lot). The parking lot is situated on a part of Lots Numbered 32 and 33 in Block Number 10 in the Original Plat of the Town, now City, of Greenfield, Indiana, beginning on the north line of Lot Number 32, 70 feet east of thenorthwest corner thereof; thence east on the north line of said Lots Numbered 32 and 33, 47 feet and 4inches; thence south parallel with the east line of said Lot Number 33 to the south line thereof; thence west on said south line to a point 70 feet east of the southwest corner of said Lot Number 32; thence north parallel with the east line to the place of beginning; and 60 feet of uniform width off of the east side of Lot Number 33 in Block 10 in the Original Plat of the Town, now City, of Greenfield, Indiana the same being 132 feet in length with the six feet of the south end thereof used for alley purposes.
    (C) Lot Number Three. The parking lot situated on part of Lots Numbered 1 and 2 in Block Number 1 of the First South Addition and part of Lots Numbered 1 and 2 in Block Number 1 of Pierson's Addition to the city, and which parking lot is bounded on the east side by State Street; on the south side by the railroad tracks; on the north side by the existing alley, and on the west side by Mount Street.
    (D) Lot Number Four (Commonly known as Miller's Jewelry Parking Lot). The parking lot situated on a part of Lot Numbered 54 in Block 17 in the Original Plat of the Town, now City of Greenfield, and is bounded on the east by Brandywine Steak House, on the north by an existing alley, on the west by an existing alley, and on the south by Main Street.
    (E) Lot Number Five (Commonly known as City Hall Visitors Parking Lot). The parking lot is situated immediately south of City Hall and consists of eight angled parking spaces.
    (F) Lot Number Six (Commonly known as City Hall Employees Parking Lot). The parking lot is situated south of City Hall and is bounded on the north by Gooding Street, on the west by USA Custom Printing, on the south by South Street, and on the east by McCleerey Sporting Goods and LRF Electronics, and consists of 20 parking spaces.
    (G) Lot Number Seven (Commonly known as Greenfield Central Community School Corporation Parking Lot). The parking area is described as part of Lots 122 and 123 in Block Number 23 of Spillman’s Reserve to the Original Plat of the Town, now City of Greenfield, as per the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book l, page l, in the Office of the Recorder of Hancock County, Indiana, consisting of an area located at 110 West North Street, whose measurements are approximately 120' x 155' and is bound on the east and north sides by alleys, on the south side by West North Street and on the west side by the offices of Greenfield Central Community School Corporation.
    (H) Lot Number Eight (Commonly known as Lincoln Square Parking Lot). The parking area is described as Lot Number 129 in Block Number 22 of Spillman’s Reserve to the Original Plat of the Town, now City of Greenfield, as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book l, page l, in the Office of the Recorder of Hancock County, Indiana, consisting of an area approximately 89' x 132' and bordered on the east and north side by alleys, on the south side by Main Street and on the east side by the structure currently housing Lincoln Square Pancake House.
    (I) Lot Number Nine (Commonly known as the Griggsby’s Station Parking Lot). The parking area is described as a part of Lot Number 70 in Block 18 in the Original Plat of the Town (now City) of Greenfield, Indiana, as recorded in Plat Book l, Page l, in the Office of the Recorder of Hancock County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a 5/8 inch capped rebar marked “C2LS Firm #0035” marking the Northwest corner of said Lot 70; thence on an assumed bearing of North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East along the North line thereof a distance of 44.33 feet to a “Mag” nail marking the Northeast corner of a tract of land described in Instrument Number 87-6615 in said Recorder’s Office; thence South 00 degrees 03 minutes 43 seconds East along the East line there of a distance of 132.18 feet to a “Mag” nail marking the Southeast corner of said tract, said point also being on the South line of said Lot 70; thence North 89 degrees 55 minutes 00 seconds West along the South line of said Lot 70 a distance of 44.36 feet to a “Mag” nail marking the Southwest corner thereof; thence North 00 degrees 02 minutes 57 seconds West along the West line of said Lot 70 a distance of 132.12 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 0.135 acres or 5,860 square feet, more or less.
    (J) Lot Number Ten (Commonly known as the Living Alley). The parking area is described as the west half of Lot Number Thirty (30) in Block Number Seventeen (17) in the original Plat of the Town (now city) of Greenfield, in the Office of the Recorder of Hancock County, Indiana.
