§ 94.01. FILTHY AND UNWHOLESOME PREMISES.

  • (A) It shall be unlawful for the occupants of any premises, buildings, or outhouses to permit them to become or remain in a filthy or unwholesome condition.
    (B) On a determination by the Building Inspector, City Engineer, or officer of the Bureau of Fire Prevention that such a condition exists, the officer shall send notice by certified mail return receipt requested to the occupant of such premises to remedy said unlawful condition within ten days of the date of mailing.
    (C) On the failure of the occupant to remedy the condition within ten days, the Building Inspector, City Engineer, or officer of the Bureau of Fire Prevention may clean the same, either with city labor or by contracting out the job. The expense of such cleaning shall be assessed against and collected from the owner or occupant, or a lien shall be imposed on the property and placed on the tax duplicate for collection or the same shall be collected by foreclosure of such lien.
