§ 72.18. TRUCK PARKING PROHIBITED.

  • (A) It shall be unlawful for any person to park a truck or other vehicle having a gross vehicle weight in excess of 10,000 pounds, by its manufacturer's rating, or any semitractor motor vehicle or semitrailer, on any public street, alley, public parking lot, or public park in the city except for the length of time necessary for the expeditious loading or unloading of materials.
    (B) It shall be unlawful for any person to permit or allow in any residential area within the city any truck engine or auxiliary engine on any truck or semitrailer to run for a continuous period of time in excess of 15 minutes.
    (C) The Police Department or any police officer is authorized to remove and tow away, or have removed and towed away by a commercial towing service, at the owner's expense, any vehicle illegally parked in any place in violation of this section.
