§ 71.27. PERMIT REQUIRED FOR SPECIAL EVENT.

  • A special event is a temporary cultural, community, or entertainment event which uses any street, alley, or sidewalk for the purpose of conducting the activity, including any fund-raising activities by not-for-profit organizations, such as walks, runs, bike events, concerts, carnivals, fairs, block parties, celebrations, band performances, or festivals. No person or organization shall obstruct or cause to be obstructed any street, alley, or sidewalk within the city for the purpose of conducting a special event without a permit issued by the Traffic Safety Officer or his or her designee. The cost for obtaining such a permit shall be $10.
